Conference Aims
The aim of the AITPM’s 2009 National Conference in Adelaide is to explore the notion of ‘Traffic beyond tomorrow’ and for traffic practitioners to explore the challenges and the opportunities that this may bring by considering hypothetical scenarios and asking the ‘what if…’questions. We wish to consider questions such as “are we really serious about changing our travel behaviour” or “do I just want everyone else to change their behaviour so I can continue unaffected?”
Let’s focus on where we have come from, and where we are headed and how we, as AITPM, can influence this future. We expect that every participant will take away a personal challenge to assertively and positively contribute to a sustainable traffic future. Consider attending or presenting a paper as your first step in traffic’s next giant leap!
